Large Attendance at Finn Valley Health & Wellbeing Event 2018 Over 350 people attended Thursday night’s Health & Wellbeing Event, hosted by the Finn Valley Community Health Forum (FVCHF), which was a big success. Attendees from across Donegal benefited from the advice and support of 80 exhibitors with stands ranging from healthy eating, HSE self-management to hobbies and holistic health. There truly was something for everyone in the Finn Valley Centre, Stranorlar. This free event is in its fourth year. Mamie Clarke Finn Valley Centre Community Hero January 2018 We kick off 2018 with Mamie Clarke as our Community Hero.  Originally Doherty from Porthall, Lifford, she is one of a family of six siblings, Margaret R.I.P., Johnny, Patrick, Michael and Tommy R.I.P. She now lives in Moyita, Bridge Street Lifford with her husband James. Mamie and James celebrated 51 years of marriage last August and have a family of five, two boys and three girls, Trevor, Kieran, Siobhan, Lorraine and Rosaleen. The couple have grandchildren and great grandchildren which they adore and look forward to them visiting their home. Mamie

Alzheimer’s Day Services/cloghan Day Centre

Alzheimer’s Day Services Cloghan Day Centre Cloghan Day Centre in Glenfin first opened in July 2008 and provides vibrant and enjoyable day services for the elderly people of Glenfin and surrounding areas on three days each week.  Every Tuesday the Day Centre’s Tuesday Club provides respite services for families in the Finn Valley area who are caring for those who are living with Atlzheimer’s.  On Tuesdays buses collect people from their homes throughout the Finn Valley area including Drumkeen, Killygordon, Sessiaghoneill, Ballybofey and Stranorlar.  Transport is provided to the Day Centre in Cloghan where entertainment and meals are provided.  This
